Missouri FAQ
Missouri Driver Improvement Course — FAQs.
- Is this course approved by the State of Missouri?
- Yes. Our 8-hour online Driver Improvement Program (DIP) is approved by the Missouri Safety Center for traffic tickets and insurance discount statewide. Prior authorization from the Fine Collection Center or court is required.
- Can I take this course for a Missouri traffic citation?
- Yes, but you must get prior authorization first. After getting a ticket, there are two primary paths to authorization: **Fine Collection Center (FCC) Authorization:** You get a notification from the FCC giving you the option to complete a driver improvement program (DIP) to keep points off you record. **Court Authorization:** Your ticket is handled by a local court, which requires you to request permission from the judge to complete the driver improvement program. Once approved, you have 60 days to complete our course and receive your state approved certificate of completion (Form 4444), which must be sent to the Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR) for processing. If you are court authorized, you must have the court sign your certificate before sending to the DOR.
- Can this course be taken on a mobile device?
- Yes. The course is mobile-friendly on most tablets, smartphones, laptops, and desktops (JavaScript and cookies enabled).
- Can I change my registration information?
- Yes. At the last unit quiz you can change the info printed on your certificate. Before then, call 1-800-558-9887 or email info@ticketschool.com.
- How is my completion reported?
- We do not report completions to the State of Missouri. After passing, it is your responsibility to download your certificate (Form 4444) and turn it in to the appropriate authority. Fine Collection Center: print it and mail to the Missouri Department of Revenue within 15 days after course completion. Court Ordered: have the judge sign and date your certificate, then mail to the Dept. of Revenue within 15 days of completion. Insurance Discount / Business and Industry: turn the certificate in to your insurer or safety manager.
- How long is the course?
- A minimum of eight hours, at your own pace. Log in and out as needed — progress saves.
- Why do I have to answer security questions?
- State rules require that we verify each user's identity during the course. You'll set up security questions during registration (e.g., "Have you ever been to Europe?") and be re-asked them at random points. Missing three will result in a course disqualification and require you start a new course from the beginning.
- Does the course contain a final exam?
- Yes. A 10-question multiple-choice final requiring 70% or higher (miss no more than three). Each attempt has new questions, and you have unlimited attempts to pass.
- How do I reach a live person?
- Call 1-800-558-9887 or email info@ticketschool.com. Support hours are Mon–Fri 9a–5p CST.
- What if I'm not satisfied?
- We offer a 100% money-back guarantee within 60 days of registration. You are not eligible for a refund if you have already passed the course or if you are disqualified for ID verification. Otherwise, call or email and we'll process the refund — no questions designed to trip you up.
